Mines by Hacksaw Gaming

Hacksaw Mines is a diamond-and-bomb game: reveal diamonds to increase the amount you can collect, or hit a bomb and lose the round. Explore the original game’s demo, learn the controls, and compare its settings with other Mines versions before choosing a casino.

The Hacksaw catalogue lists the original Mines. Its William Hill edition announcement describes the core diamond-and-bomb mechanics.

Play Hacksaw Mines demo

The player below loads the original Mines, game ID 1126, directly from Hacksaw’s demo host when you press Play. It is the same client launched by the provider’s catalogue; no casino registration was required in our check. Demo credits have no cash value. A practice balance or displayed currency does not establish real-money availability, cash-out eligibility or CAD support at a casino.

How to play Hacksaw Mines

  1. Check the title. Identify Hacksaw Gaming and Mines. Mines Supreme and other providers’ games have their own rules.
  2. Open the information screen. Read the active version’s payout rules and settings. Check the demo balance label as well as the title.
  3. Set the board, mine count and demo bet. Choose one of four square grids, then a mine preset or Custom. Compare the displayed return while changing one setting at a time.
  4. Start and reveal a tile. A diamond increases the potential return. A bomb ends the attempt without a win.
  5. Read Collectable before continuing. It is the amount currently available. Revealing another tile puts the unfinished round at risk.
  6. Use Collect to finish. Check the credited balance before starting again. Increasing the next bet does not automatically recover a previous loss.

Read a demo-round example

The pictured interface shows three diamonds, a €1.00 demo bet and €1.97 collectable. If that amount is collected as the total return, the difference from the initial bet is €0.97. It is not €1.97 of profit on top of the stake.

This explains an existing screen illustration, not a newly recorded test round or a payout promise. The same number of diamonds need not pay that amount under a different grid setup.

Hacksaw Mines example: three revealed diamonds, €4,998.22 demo balance, €1.00 demo bet and €1.97 collectable.
  1. Diamonds. Revealed safe symbols; unopened tiles remain unknown.
  2. Collectable: €1.97. The displayed amount available in this example.
  3. Demo bet: €1.00. The example’s starting stake.
  4. Collect. Accept the current return and finish the round.

What to compare on the game screen

What to compare on the game screen
Control or readout Why it matters
Grid setup Establishes the board configuration used by the payout schedule

Demo balance Practice funds, separate from a casino wallet
Collectable Amount currently available from the unfinished round
Collect Accepts the available amount and ends the round

Grid sizes and mine settings

The checked official client offers four square grids. Choose a mine preset or open Custom to enter a number within that board’s range.

Grid sizes and mine settings
Grid Cells Custom mine range Safe cells with 5 mines
3 × 3 9 1–8 4
5 × 5 25 1–24 20
7 × 7 49 1–48 44
9 × 9 81 1–80 76

These ranges were read from the active Custom controls. More mines on the same grid increase risk and the potential payout per diamond. With the mine count held constant, a larger grid reduces risk and the payout per diamond, according to the game’s Help.

Grid sizes and mine settings
Question What it tells you
How many cells are displayed? Board size, not the complete risk by itself
Is a fixed bomb count specified? Whether a fixed-board probability model is appropriate
What does the next successful reveal pay? The offered reward for taking the next risk

A 5 × 5 screen contains 25 positions. It does not automatically mean five bombs or the same mathematics as another 25-tile Mines game. The five-mine examples below are illustrative.

Hacksaw Mines RTP, payouts and maximum win

RTP is a long-run theoretical return, not the probability that the next tile is safe. It does not mean that a short session will return that percentage of your bets.

The official demo’s Game Info states 98% RTP. The checked EUR version allows bets from €0.20 to €10,000.00. If another pick would make the potential win exceed either €1,000,000 or 10,000 times the bet, whichever is lower, the game ends the round and credits the current win automatically.

Some public listings quote 96%. That discrepancy does not override the 98% shown by the client embedded here, nor prove that every casino uses this configuration. Open Info in the version you intend to use.

Return, profit and a maximum are different

An illustrative 2× total-return multiplier on a 1-unit bet would return 2 units, a net gain of 1 unit. A maximum win is a ceiling, not an expected result or a target that a betting sequence can guarantee. Check whether the game applies a multiplier cap, a currency cap, or both.

When comparing casinos, record the title, active RTP, currency, bet limits and payout cap together. A euro-denominated demo does not establish a CAD limit. A bonus can impose a separate maximum-bet rule.

Odds and probability calculator

The calculator explores a fixed, uniformly random board with no replacement. Choose a board size and hypothetical mine count to calculate the chance that all of the first one to four picks are safe. The calculator supports all four observed Hacksaw board sizes, but also accepts other sizes for comparison. It models the counts; it does not inspect the game’s random-number generator or certify its implementation.

For the initial example, 20 safe cells out of 25 give an 80% chance on the first pick. After one safe pick, 19 of 24 remaining cells are safe. Two safe picks from the start therefore have a probability of 80% × 19/24 = 63.33%.

Click position does not change those probabilities under this model. Neither the calculator nor the layouts below connect to the demo. Read Mines probability explained for the assumptions and longer sequences.

Safe-pick probabilities

Fixed uniform board

Enter a board size and mine count to calculate the chance of one to four safe picks without replacement. The model assumes a fixed number of mines placed uniformly before the first reveal. This tool does not read a casino round or identify a safe tile.

At least 1, fewer than all cells

Example result: 5 × 5 with 5 mines

80%Chance of a safe first pick
Safe cells

Total cells

Formula: (25 − 5) ÷ 25 = 20/25 = 80%

Chances for 1–4 safe picks

“All safe from start” is the chance that every pick in the series avoids a mine. “Next safe” assumes the earlier picks in that row were safe. Neither column identifies a safe tile in a live round.

180%80%
263.33%79.17%
349.57%78.26%
438.3%77.27%

P(all first k safe) multiplies the safe fraction at each pick; P(next safe) uses only the remaining cells after earlier safe picks. “No tile” means the board is smaller than that pick number; “Not reachable” means the required earlier safe streak is impossible.

Strategy, patterns and predictors

Use practice rounds to compare decisions: keep the bet constant, change one available setting and watch the collectable amount. Set a session limit beforehand. A stopping rule limits exposure; it does not create a mathematical advantage.

There is no verified Hacksaw Mines predictor here. These nine patterns were generated for illustration. They are not frequent historical outcomes, recovered boards or recommended click routes. A diagonal, corner sequence or repeated shape has no demonstrated predictive advantage.

Doubling after a loss increases the next amount at risk without making a diamond more likely. See the predictor guide and signal-bot calculator for the distinction between illustrations, probabilities and live signals.

Where to play and bonus compatibility

Match the exact title and provider before comparing offers. This table documents listings or releases; it is not a ranking or confirmation that an operator accepts players in your province.

Where to play and bonus compatibility
Operator / source Exact-game evidence Demo / bonus information Availability limit
Hacksaw Gaming Original Mines, game ID 1126 Official demo verified; same client embedded above Provider demo, not a real-money casino
LiveBet — demo directory Dedicated original Mines entry; demo launch observed Informational free-play site, not a real-money casino Does not establish a place to deposit or claim a casino bonus
F12Bet Indexed Brazilian lobby lists Mines / Hacksaw Operator demo and Mines bonus eligibility not verified Cached listing, not a live-access test; no Canadian eligibility inferred
William Hill Branded Mines with original gameplay announced in March 2023 Historical announcement, not current demo or bonus terms Current access requires an operator check
1win Reviewed catalogue contains Hacksaw Mines Supreme Supreme does not establish original Mines availability See the review’s domain and catalogue scope

Before using a bonus, check eligible games, wagering contribution, maximum bet, expiry and withdrawal conditions. An advertised bonus amount does not prove that Mines qualifies. The casino comparison table covers broader operator information.

Original game and branded editions

The original Mines belongs to Hacksaw’s Dare2Win range. Hacksaw’s March 2023 William Hill announcement describes the original gameplay in an operator-branded presentation. A casino logo does not necessarily identify a different developer.

Mines Supreme is a separate release, named in Hacksaw’s June round-up published in July 2026. Do not transfer its features, RTP or limits to the original. Open the information screens separately if a casino lists both titles.

Mobile play and demo troubleshooting

Try the browser demo before looking for an app. On desktop, Shift + I or G opens Game Info, Esc closes its window, Shift + S / M toggles sound / music, and Shift + Up / Down changes the bet. These shortcuts are listed in the checked client. Full screen or landscape can make the board easier to use. Keep the bet and Collect controls visible; zooming into tiles can hide the controls needed to finish a round.

Controls too small Try full screen or landscape and check that bet and Collect remain visible
Connection drops Reopen the same session and consult the interrupted-round policy before assuming the result
A predictor app is offered A download is not evidence of access to hidden outcomes; verify its source

Frequently asked questions

Is the demo the original Hacksaw Mines?

This page identifies the original Mines in Hacksaw’s catalogue. Supreme and other providers’ games are separate titles. Check the loaded title before starting.

Can I withdraw demo winnings?

No. Practice credits have no cash value. They are not a casino deposit, bonus balance or withdrawable win.

Is Hacksaw Mines RTP 96% or 98%?

The official EUR demo embedded here states 98% in Game Info. Other listings quote 96%, so compare the active client’s rules rather than assuming every configuration is identical.

Can I choose the mine count?

Yes. The checked client provides presets and Custom. Custom allows 1–8 mines on 3 × 3, 1–24 on 5 × 5, 1–48 on 7 × 7 and 1–80 on 9 × 9.

Does Collectable mean profit?

Check the active rules. If €1.97 is the total return on a €1.00 bet, the net gain is €0.97. Adding the stake a second time would overstate the result.

Do patterns reveal safe tiles?

These patterns are random illustrations with no access to a live board. No prediction accuracy or safe route is established.

Is Mines Supreme the same game?

No. It is a separate Hacksaw release. A Supreme listing alone does not prove that a casino offers the original Mines.

Can I use a casino bonus?

The specific offer’s terms decide eligibility, wagering contribution and maximum bonus bet. Check the exact game rather than assuming all Mines titles qualify.

Do I need a separate mobile app?

Try the browser-based provider entry first. If an operator offers the game in an app, verify its title and developer there too. This guide supplies no separate app download.

Does it have autoplay or bonus buy?

Neither autoplay nor bonus buy appeared in the checked original client’s controls or Game Info. Do not assume a feature from another Hacksaw title applies here.

Rules this overview does not establish

The check establishes the embedded EUR demo’s settings, not every casino’s configuration. The Help says completed games can appear in History and unfinished games do not; it does not fully explain every disconnection and recovery scenario. A player-verifiable fairness protocol was not established. Canadian access, CAD limits and bonus eligibility still need an operator- and province-specific check.
